I just wanted to know the pros and cons of the Disney internship program.

Be sure you look very, very carefully at what job they’ll be giving you. Some of my students have done Disney internships hoping to get pr/marketing/creative type jobs and have ended up parking cars or waiting table. That said, they all had a great time while they were there.

And does it helps to have that internship in your r

I have a friend who did it and worked retail in Downtown Disney in CA as well as at a hotel. She came back motivated to pursue hospitality and gained an internship at a luxury hotel in Denver. She said one of the key factors of her gaining that spot over others was her participation in the Disney College Program!

Well if it will help me et a job then it’s worth spending a semester working for them. Anyways does company’s like TNT and abc offer student internships?

I’m not sure about TNT, but ABC does offer internships. Actually, Disney and ABC are owned by the same people so if you search on the disneycareers website you can look at the ABC internships (have things in production, etc). There are also ESPN internships through there as well. Disney does have more degree related internships through their Professional Internships (and not just the College Program) so you can look at those as well. They have everything through things in finance, engineering, animal programs to PR and marketing. You apply for those through the same website and applications are open in late Jan for the fall and late Aug for the spring.
