I know that different colleges have different requirements and I was wondering if someone could help me understand how different they are. I know that CAS and one other (architecture?) are the only two with a foreign language requirement. Does every college require two first year writing seminars? Any information is appreciated.

arch has no language requirement

the thing about cornell is that the schools operate quite autonomously so each college has different requirements. i know my school (architecture) is a b.arch professional degree. therefore it's very focused on architecture and we have very few outside requirements (only 1 sem of math, 1 sem of FWS, and 1 sem of science).

Every college will require at least one FWS. I believe every college also has some sort of math requirement. (In CAS you must take at least one math). Most colleges have some sort of humanities requirement(s).

Other than that, requirements vary greatly between colleges. You can find them by searching the online Courses of Study. To find requirements, click on a college listed here Courses of Study 2007-2008 and then click 'General Information' at the top.
