diversity at nova?

So i am of Chinese descent and i was accepted to nova for EA. After reading some stats, my mom is kind of worried that Villanova is full of "rich, white kids." Anyways, I'm just wondering how much of that is true and if the lack of diversity has ever caused any type of problems before? Thanks

Also, I am a business major and I'm wondering if anyone else here is applying to the Global Citizens Program?

From CollegeBoard as of last year:

* <1% American Indian/Alaskan Native

 • 9% Asian/Pacific Islander
 • 5% Black/Non-Hispanic
 • 7% Hispanic
 • 75% White/Non-Hispanic
 • 2% Non-Resident Alien
 • 2% Race/ethnicity unreported

I live close to Villanova and from what I see as an outsider… there’s not much going on by way of ethnic diversity. I’m not too sure about the varience in thought either (intellectual diversity). I’ll be interested in seeing what others have to say about this.

i am a current minority freshman at novas business school and i can honestly tell you that they stereotype of “vanillanova” isnt true at all
the business school in particular, from what i see is particularly diverse, there seems to be a lot of asians.
on my hall alone there were 9/around 45 asians and 6 african americans
although there dont seem to be that many hispanics

villanova is very accepting and everyone hangs out with one another. there are many cultural clubs that you can join too.

no one cares what ethnicity you are…you wont have a problem fitting in at all, its nothing to worry about

I applied to the Global Citizens Program this week!! If I get picked, that’s my incentive to go to nova :)

Also, blue914’s words are encouraging. I’m white, but I want to go to an ethnically diverse school.

take a salt shaker and shake a bit on the table
then you take the pepper shaker and you shake a bit on the table

that’s what it looks like on the surface
