diversity factor/ accepted averages?

I'm an Ontario high school senior and would love to go to McGill. I'm getting really mixed messages though about how hard it is to be accepted.
I know McGill is a diverse, international school, etc so I'm hoping the fact that I lived overseas in Europe and Asia for 9 years will give me a plus and the fact that I'm half American, half German. How helpful will that all actually be? Or are they really only looking for good grades..? my 11th grade average was high 80s....

I was hoping accepted students could just post their averages
and talk about what else McGill is looking for (extra currics, etc)

Any posts would be helpful, thanks so much!

McGill only looks at gpa and standardized tests. You will not get any edge from living in Europe or Asia - you won't even have the chance to put that anywhere on the application. I'm from the U.S. so the grading system is different, but here are my stats:
Grades 9-11 gpa: 3.94/4.5
Grade 12 gpa: 4.13/4.5
SAT: 2270

and what do you mean your are half american? do you mean native american?

If you are graduating from a Canadian school as you are, there are no need for standardized tests. Standardized tests are only for those applying from American highschools.

Impress them on your high school transcript by taking rigorous courses and doing well in them.

Refer to Admissions standards for previous years
