I have my application ready to roll. I am submitting it tomorrow. Anyone have a clue when i should receive a decision? I'm also trying for their major scholarship. Does anyone know what mcgill views as an"A" average?

An A average would be an average of 85% or better, there are no A+ grades at McGill.

A- (80-84)
A (85-100)
B- to B+ (70-79)
C- to C+ (60-69)
D- to D+ (50-59)
F (0-49)

Just for the record these are the grades from the Web site. They're a little different.

My mistake, wasn't aware of the differences below the 80% mark, thanks for the correction.

Is this the grading scale for undergraduate studies at mcgill? or is this how they recalculate your grades when they get your high school transcript?

yeah, im pretty sure its just the undergrad grades

This page has undergrad and grad grading charts. But I did just notice it says "continuing education" so I'm not sure what that means. But it's the only grading scale on their Web site.

does anyone have the answer to the first question, because i'm wondering that as well.

Where are you applying from? I know for US applicants it is sort of on a rolling basis based not on when they get your application, but when they get your first semester grades. My first semester ended around the end of January, my midyear grades were sent to McGill in eary February, and I got my decision in late February, around the 22nd or something.

I don't know what it is for other international students, and Canadian students find out a bit later, like in April I think.
