Diversity, huh? Political, too?

I was just wondering, since Yale seems to put so much value on diversity in its admissions process, wouldn't it, as a largely liberal institution, also be looking for political diversity? Or are they simply looking for people who conform to the rest of the college population's political affiliation? Is a membership to the Young Republicans' club the most valuable EC you can have?

Hm....

Don't worry about it. Yale may have a lot of liberal students and faculty but I know a lot of conservatives who go there. And good old George W. is an alum!

One of the best-known and illustrious professors at Yale is Prof. Donald Kagan He is a neo-conservative, but who cares? He is said to be one of the best lecturers/profs to have.

Kagan is currently Sterling Professor of Classics and History at Yale University. His course "The Origins of War" has been one of the university's most popular courses for twenty-five years. He currently teaches "Introduction to Ancient Greek History" and upper level History and Classical Civilization seminars focusing on topics from Thucydides to Spartan Hegemony.

He was Dean of Yale College for a few years.

What I'm asking is if being on the right of the spectrum is a good thing for them to know, because they're seeking diversity and most of their students are leftists.

Oh you're talking about admissions. Who knows?

Not sure, but whoever does, that's who I'm asking, lol.
