for any current students, do u think that there is a decent level of diversity at Gtown? I come from a completely homogeneous town, and really want to go to a school with a diverse student body.

Here's the deal with diversity at Georgetown: Georgetown is a very diverse school for a Catholic school. We have a good percentage of different religions and racial/ethnic groups. However, all of the groups self-segregate, so most people only end up hanging out with people similar to them, regardless of what they did in high school. When you go into the cafeteria, there is the Black table, the Asian table, the Jewish table, the Muslim table, etc. It sucks, but that's life, it happens everywhere.

Exactly. This is why I treasure people who find ways to get beyond that self-segregation, make real contact with those who are different, and actually enhance mutual respect and understanding.
