Diversity?

Yeah, I keep posting, but I want to find up as much as possible, especially if I'm choosing here over Irvine.

So, I keep hearing it's not that diverse at Santa Cruz. That fact alone is fine, but is it a segregated place? Like one race just chills with the same race (yes, I know I'm being completely general and biased), because I wouldn't be to thrilled if that's the case...

Not segregated, exactly, but Oakes college is the "diverse" college. Everyone jokes that if you're looking for students of color, go there. But it's also a self-fulfilling proffesy. It's not like there aren't various races other places, it's just that there tends to be more in/around Oakes than anywhere else.

But I would say we're significantly more diverse than Irvine.

I don't go there (yet!) but I've visited twice, and it looked pretty diverse to me. And everyone all seemed to hang together, so I don't know if your info is wrong or I just happened to be there at times when people decided they'd all chill together.

Yeah, maybe my info is skewed. I'm just used to being around a pretty diverse group.
