Do admissions officers read applications over winter holiday break?

I applied to Wellelsey EE and I forgot to send in my First Quarter grades. The rest of my application is there, however. The deadline for materials was on December 15th, and the Wellesley admissions office is closed from 12/23 to 1/3. I just realized that my grades aren’t in, however I cannot access them until 1/8, when I return to school. Do AOs read apps over the break? If not, they have only had six work days to review applications, so I don’t think they would have disqualified mine yet. If yes, then I think I may be too far behind to catch the EE read. Hard to say. EE results come out late Feburary, so you would think that I they would be generous and have enough time to look over another application.

Hi, I’m a recently admitted ED student to Wellesley. I had to contact the admissions office a few times during my application process and they were really helpful and nice. I imagine that they will not read your application over break. The admissions office reopens on January 2nd, so I think that your best bet would be to call them then as soon as possible and explain your circumstances. Best of luck!

Our high school only gives semester grades, and while midterms ended 12/19, grades won’t be finalized until 1/7. I doubt colleges would penalize you so long as the rest of your application is completed.
