Here in Kentucky most people don't take the sat test, and I was just wondering if only the act is fine?

All top schools will take either test.

But keep in mind that, even though you are in Kentucky, you may still take the SAT just as readily as someone on the east or west coasts. I, for example, have taken the SAT despite being in the largely-ACT state of Illinois.

ok i was just wondering if it’s required. and yeah i know its available here but of course i dont wanna bother studying for both if i dont have to. do you think they would reccomend that i take it or does it not matter?

Does not matter at all

No, but they do require SATIIs

thanks guys

Make sure you take the ACT with Writing though

All ivies take either the SAT or ACT w/writing. All also require two SAT subject tests (often referred to as SAT IIs) except that Yale, Penn and Brown (but not the others) take the ACT in lieu of both the SAT and SAT subject tests. So if you are submitting ACT and applying to any ivy other than those three you still must take two SAT subject tests.
