This varies tremendously from college to college, often based on what city it’s in. In some cities, there is lots of clubbing, and there are clubs with lower age limits, or huge numbers of students have fake IDs. Other places are stricter on IDs, and in other places there aren’t many clubs in the first place. As a person from Europe, you will find it strange that most campuses are full of drinking, but you can’t get into a club.

Clubs are not that esy to get into (if you are under 21), often expensive to get into, the booze is expensive once you do get in. It’s dine but not that common (esp compared to Europe)

It’s really not that hard to get a fake ID. Just go out at night to a few house parties and you’ll make some friends with people who obviously like to get down and party. Either they’ll have a fake and you can ask them where they got theirs, or they might know someone who does. Depending on what city you’re in it doesn’t even matter if theyre good ID’s or not. New York City for example will take anything even if they know it’s fake. Boston on the other hand is really strict and you need a really good ID.

Most clubs in this area are 18+. I don’t personally go to them, but know people who do.

However, we’re within 20 minutes of Canada, and the drinking age is 19 there, so many people go there.

All of the good clubs, at least in the bigger cities, tend to be 21+. You’ll find some exceptions that allow 18 year olds, but those tend to be trashier (IMO).

In smaller cities and college towns, it’s common to find lots of “18 to enter, 21 to drink.”

Just listen to Ice Cube. We be clubbin.
Everyone goes clubbin. They have underage clubs and theres ones for old people. Teaachers go to clubs. One of my teachers is a bouncer at a club. But you have to be careful cause some are kind of wierd and you can tell by the name usually if it is a wierd one.
