<p>Well by the time of the AP exams, the books are all sold out. It’s not like they change price, they just become scarcer and scarcer. 
Come May, the AP section at my Border’s looks like a battlefield. You can wait for a coupon and buy your books (early) that way, that’s what I always do. There’s a nice 30% off one book coupon at Border’s right now.</p>
<p>just use amazon and why would you want to buy an old review book when you can get a better review online?</p>
<p>I agree - the price is not so much the problem as it is the paucity.</p>
