My son who will be going to Lawrenceville from next September was wondering if his friends could visit and stay over in his dorm room on Saturday night. Does anyone know if this would be allowed?

My son's school allows it (NMH).

bumpp same querstion

my son's school does not allow it.

my school did- obviously not opposite sex. there were certain forms to fill out though.

My school did, you just had to talk to certain people about it and the person's parents needed to call and stuff.

Can people please specify WHICH schools exactly you are each talking about? I've been wondering the same thing in regards to Exeter...I'm sorry if that came of a bit rude.

Yes, I spent lots of time with a friend at SPS.

at Exeter sleepovers are really common within current students. siblings (of same gender) can sleepover as long as they're not in college. college students generally aren't allowed to stay over.

My son's school is NMH and allows it. My older son spent time with this friend at Andover as well.

Can non-siblings (of the same gender) stay over at Exeter?

bumpppp. my friends want to do this for Exeter next year.

At my school (not a prep school, but a boarding school), overnight visitors of the same sex are allowed to stay in the dorms. If you are a male and want to have a female overnight guest, you can do so but arrangements must be made for her to stay in a female dorm.

for Exeter, yes. I've done it.
