Do CCers Ever Meet Up in College?

Just out of curiosity... Does anyone know of CollegeConfidential kids deliberately meeting up in college..?

"Hey! Jaybirdz673!"
"Wazzup Rubbi!"
"Wow... So I'm actually meeting THAT kid with the 5's on 22 AP tests, the 2400 on the SAT, and the USAMO finalist. Cool!"
"Yeah! And I get to meet that kid who went to TASP and was top student Archer in the nation. Cool!"
"Nice to meet you!"
"Yeah! Good to finally see the face behind all those amazing posts!"

Just a hypothetical scenario, of course... though knowing the strength kids on CC, not at all unrealistic...

I am just curious if CCers ever meet up to see the faces behind all those posts.

it’s happened :p.

You’re asking this on the high school forum, so I doubt you’ll get many firsthand accounts. :p

I believe xrCalico23 and Mifune are (were? I heard he was transferring) actually friends at Harvard, since TheYankInLondon and I visited them one time for a CC reunion

also, did you make these usernames up? haha they are very realistic

I genuinely wonder if anyone would want to meet me o.o.

Everyone probably thinks I’m just a pedantic (boring) person.

Iceqube i want to meet you so bad
you don"t even know

@TitoMorito:

Yeah… Haha… Probably not the smartest move on my part. But I couldn’t really decide where to post it… :P

@maplesurrup:

Haha, yeah, I made them up… I just was thinking, “What would be a CCey-sounding username?”

But I’d love to have a little CC reunion wherever I end up. That’s cool that you guys met up!

@IceQube

I agree with Bassoonapus, haha…

O.O

When you think of me, what do you see? (I hope I don’t disappoint).

^I want to know if you’re very philosophical…I assume you are based on all your posts. :D

I can be philosophical in conversation if I so wish.

I think.

I’ve never really gotten lost in a philosophical conversation with someone … much less any conversation at all.

Most conversations transpire between me and myself. And they are philosophical. Oh yes :).

No one I talk to can speak philosophically.

Hence my desperation for a decent college…

how different is talking politically from talking philosophically. on a scale from 1-10. (10 is different).

Usually an 8

I’ve met at least 6 people whose CC accounts I know about.

oh wow. i was hoping it was like 4.

You can debate political philosophy, but usually people of the same nation share basic principles and disagree about implementation, which is a purely political subject.

I’ll bring it down to a six.

@ThisCouldBeHeavn

Wow… That’s pretty cool. I think it’s good to stay in touch with these people… It’s a good network of smart students. Who knows… Maybe we’ll all be ruling the world some day?

A few of us already “met” IceQube over video chat one time. He didn’t talk much, though (I think he didn’t want to disturb his family).

On a separate note, I’ll be meeting up with a CC buddy in Boston this Saturday. It happens.

Don’t forget that he also had a penchant for not wearing shirts during those chats. Egad.

If I meant any people on CC in real life I would deny that I am a member lol.
