Would a top college like MIT care if you took a test over again. Say you got less than 750 and you took it to get a 800. Is this worse than getting an 800 the first time?

If you use score choice, they won’t know that you took any tests prior

If you can’t use Score Choice for a certain college, does it look bad that you took a Subject Test more than three times? (Disregarding the idea that you might not improve any more/it’s a waste of time)

More than 3? That would make you seem like a person who has little interest in anything except standardized testing.

I think that the maximum # of retakes is 1. Anything beyond that is superfluous.

You have score choice.

“If you can’t use Score Choice for a certain college”
Just FYI, you can always use Score Choice, no matter if the college ‘accepts’ it or not.

^that’s unethical if a given school requires all scores.

Studies are said to have found that after a certain number of retakes, your scores cease to improve. It may not even help to retake too many times; better to be as prepared as possible the first – or at least second – time
