Do colleges care where you take credits over the summer?

Hey all,
I'm looking to transfer from my current university to a much better one. However I had some personal issues and had to withdraw from a class and therefore don't have enough credits to transfer. After speaking with my college of interest, they said I could make up the credits over the summer. However I was wondering, if I'm applying to transfer to a place like NYU, will they look down upon me taking summer credits at a small university in NJ? I would take them at NYU except for the fact that they're very expensive and I would rather save transportation and class cost by taking them in NJ.

Any advice would be helpful, thanks!

As long as the place has regional accreditation, and NYU will accept the credits, It is OK to take them where it iis cheapest for you.
