I have taken the SAT twice. The first time my score broken down was Verbal:540 Math 690 Writing 570
The second time, my score was 510 Verbal 790 Math and 690 Writing.
Apparently the second score is higher than the first one, but my verbal score went down. I dont know if colleges choose the best composite score?
Please explain to me

i think they generally look at your highest score in each section, and either way there's a huge improvement (of abt 190 points?) on your second score, so i think you'll be fine.

They choose the best subject score.
For instance,

Verbal: 550
Math: 600
Writing:600

Then you retake,
Verbal 500
Math: 650
Writing: 650

Your Final score when taking the best from each area:

Verbal:550
Math: 650
Writing: 650

Your improvement in the SAT math section just goes to show why nobody takes that section seriously any more...

from what I understand from what you said, Math became an easy subject. Thats not always the case.. some people still struggle with math ...

Anyway, I am taking another SAT I , and hope to pump up my CR.. its annoying I thought I did well ...but my score went down ...
