I am going to be a senior in high school this year. My school operates on a two term system in which we take a separate set of classes for fall and spring terms. Due to various scheduling conflicts, I have a disappointing first term schedule with only 3 classes:
AP Calculus AB
AP Microeconomics
Three Dimensional Art
However, my second term schedule should be somewhat better and more academically challenging.
AP English Literature
AP Calculus BC
AP Government and Politics
Physics (I planned to take AP Physics, but I had to choose between taking AP Physics and AP Calculus BC due to scheduling)
Additionally, I plan to take some community college classes throughout the year, but again, the ones I am going to be taking spring term are going to be “better” than the ones I’ll be taking fall term.
SO MY QUESTION is, will colleges consider and respect the classes I PLAN to take (beyond the college applications deadline) just as much as the classes I already took or will be taking (before/by the college applications deadline)?
Will I be at a disadvantage when compared to someone who is taking the same classes as me over the course of the year, but their fall term schedule is comparatively more intense?
I would really appreciate some feedback or suggestions. Thank You
^ I believe there already is a spot where you list second semester classes on CA. I would have your counselor cite scheduling issues in her recommendation though

Thanks, I’ll make sure to let my counselor know to try to cite it in the recommendation.

Yes actually, my community college plan is:
1st Term:
Fundamentals of Computer Science
Introduction to Programming
2nd Term
JAVA Programming
Introduction to Psychology (In place of my original plan to take AP Psych)
As for my other concern still,
Will I be at a disadvantage against someone who is taking the same classes as me over the course of the year, but their fall term schedule is comparatively more intense?
Senior course rigor is one very tiny factor in college admissions.
Your schedule is fine though. I doubt colleges will give any significant advantage to someone who takes one extra AP course or one extra course at the community college.
