I'll be a senior this fall, and I want my schedule to look good and be well rounded but not be incredibly taxing. My schedule will look as follows if I don't change anything.

English 12
Calculus
Computer Programming (C++)
Physics II
AP Chemistry
Art
Life Sports

My school does a poor job of putting students in position to be challenged. It offers only one AP (Chemistry, which I'm taking) and no honors courses. For example, I was placed in Pre-Calc last year and forced to stay in it even while maintaining a grade over 100%.

It does however allow student to take classes at the local community college. These classes require students to drive between schools and one college class eats up 3-4 class periods. The college classes are almost all jokes and I figure that I'd be better off taking the 3 or 4 more challenging high school classes (Physics II, AP Chem, Calculus, and/or Computer Programming) than 1 joke-of-a-college class. Is that smart?

I'll hopefully be applying into computer science program, if that helps.
