Do colleges keep track of how many times you take the SAT? If so, do they only keep track of the times you took it in 11th grade only? I know that before they did keep track of how many times you took it, but now because of scorechoice i'm wondering if it changed.

No college can and will track down your SAT scores unless you send them. Some colleges, however, like UPenn and Cornell, require that you send all of your SAT scores. You can check on the College Board website to find out which colleges do so.

when you say that colleges like Upenn and cornell require that you send all your scores, do they only ask you to send the ones in 11th grade?

No all that u’ve taken in high school

But u can use score choice anyways and I dont believe they can find out

That sucks…
And I just found out through Higher Education Professionals | College Board; that most of my colleges want all scores.

What about SAT2? If they want all, they will get all? **** ha I got a 540 on world history in 9th grade because I figured that they wouldn’t see it after using score choice…

you can still use the score choice option on the collegeboard website. Colleges will never find out unless you send them your scores

? Darknight can you elaborate?

if your desire to hide your scores exceeds your integrity… you can use score choice to hide them.

Personally, I think it’s wrong of colleges to ask for all your scores, but whether you want to abide by the policy is your choice.

ohhhh in that case, I’m relieved. so the policy is optional… thanks.

I can take the sat 1 in January w/o worries of doing bad and colleges seeing it, and comfortably know that my 540 world history score will never be revealed to the world… yes? haha awesome thanks everyone.

RAlec, the score choice is NOT optional. It is just that the Colleges have no way of enforcing their ‘No score choice’ policy.

Ok I see. Thanks.

Okay last question. How come in chance threads people put their SAT score and their sitting #… like 2340 3rd sitting. Can’t they just send in the best score only? Or is it because score choice isn’t available to them because it’s new and only for the newest gen?
