Do colleges look at classes you take over the summer after Junior year?

This might seem like a dumb question, but I just want to be sure: If I take a couple classes at my local community college over summer AFTER Junior year, will those be accounted for and factored into my GPA?

Thanks

They appear on a transcript, do they not (perhaps two: secondary school and CC)? Isn’t (Aren’t) that (those) transcript(s) required to substantiate your application? If you answer yes to the foregoing questions – and you should – then the courses will be evaluated by the universities to which you apply (their influence on your GPA, however, would depend on the individual university’s policy).

Alright, thank you.

It depends. If it’s a dual enrollment option with your school, then your GC should have it factored in on your transcript. If this is something you’re doing independently under a dual enrollment option the CC offers, you will most likely (when the time comes) have to approach the CC office and ask them to send official transcripts to the places you are applying to.

@TheDidactic‌: However, in either event:
a) The universities require the submission of ALL transcripts; and
b) The universities weigh these grades in accordance with their own standards and practices.

Absolutely true. I probably wasn’t clear about (a) when I said OP would have to ask the CC office to send their official transcripts too.

Regarding, (b), that’s a downside of dual enrollment. Some colleges may not weigh it as much or consider it equivalent depending on their policy and their perspective of the CC in question. With AP’s at least colleges know that it follows the AP syllabi. The differences between a Western Civ class at a CC and APWH are major.
