Do colleges look at freshman grades?

<p>Hi! :) I'm currently a freshman at a highly competitive high school. I was wondering if colleges take into consideration your freshman grades. </p>

<p>In case you're wondering, my grades so far:
PE-A
Chinese 1-A
Bio-A
Choir-A
English 1-A
Modern World-A
Accel 1H (Algebra 2/Trig)-B (working on getting it up XD) </p>

<p>My GPA is a 3.86. How am I doing so far? In addition, do you have any extracurricular suggestions (such as interns, clubs, etc.) I could get involved in. I would like to major in the medical field. Thank you! ^__^</p>
