Do Colleges look down on the ACT?

Hey guys!

So like many people, I have taken both the SAT and ACT. I did significantly better on the ACT than the SAT, but I fear that colleges prefer the SAT. My scores are the following: SAT-2150 ACT-34. So pretty much what I am asking is...

-Are there any colleges that only accept SAT?
If possible specifically for these schools:
1. Princeton
2. RPI (Physican-Scientist Program)
3. Brown (PLME)
4. TCNJ (7 year med)
5. Cornell
6. UPENN (Wharton)
7. University of Missouri/ Kansas City School (6 year med)
8. VCU (8 year med)
9. Columbia
10. George Washington (7 year med)
11. John Hopkins
12. Columbia
13. NYU (Stern)
14. Rutgers
15. Penn State (6 year med)
16. Drexel/Leigh (7 year med)
17. Boston University (7 year med)

-Do colleges look down on the ACT?
-Will they possibly not accept me if I only hand in ACT scores?
-Will they "judge" me since my SAT scores are pretty low compared to my ACT score?

I know these are some stupid questions, but I just wanted to clarify them!

Also if you have the chance, please chance me, I'll chance you back :)

Thank you!!

1) No. It’s a myth that needs to be taken out behind the barn and shot. Despite the attestations that there is no bias by every college and admissions officer in the US, this trope remains alive.

2) No. That’s stupid. Colleges want data to evaluate. Why discount one over the other?

3) No. THey know it’s only one day’s performance.

4) Freebie: Chance me threads are worthless --

Why would you send both SAT and ACT? Your ACT score is better, so just send that one, and do not send your SAT. Seems pretty straightforward to me.

+1 to post #2.

They don’t have a preference. Each school has statistics for a typical admitted student’s score on each. Regardless of the test you send them, if the score is within the range of a typically admitted student who took that test, then you’re fine.

Oh, and no, they won’t judge you because your SAT is lower (just don’t send it). I haven’t taken the ACT so I don’t know myself, but a counselor explained to me that the ACT tests you on what you have learned while SAT tests you on what you should have learned (if you took top-leveled classes of course). So based on that, (again, speaking without ACT experience) I think it would probably not be too abnormal to do better on the ACT than the SAT.
