So here's my dilemma. I didn't do so hot during my freshman year of high school. I go to a vocational school so during my freshman year, i had to take random shop classes in order to get a feel of what classes i want to take. I took law and public safety -- got a C in that. i took cosmetology - got a C in that. i took culinary arts - got a C in that also. i took this business course and received around a B+ in that class. But my biggest downfall was another business shop class where i received a D and to be honest, i didn't know what was going on in all of those classes. I was basically confused throughout that year. I was able to get straight Bs to B+s in my core classes such as math, english, science, and so on but i received a C+ in history. I did ALOT better during my sophomore year and i was able to pull straight As in all of my core classes including History because for the first time ever i actually had a teacher that taught. The only classes that i ended up with a B+ or so in are those dang shop classes but i still managed to get As in some of them just mostly high Bs. This year, i took two honors math classes and one honors english class because my school doesn't offer AP until next year (which sucks). I had a B+ in one honors math class, an A average in the other one and an A average in my honors english class. I also maintain an A average in chemistry. so basically i have straight As in almost all of my core classes. I had a B+ in one of my shop classes, but i have an A average in all of the rest. The main problem now is that my GPA is a 3.26, and i feel like the mediocre/horrible grades that i received in classes that don't even matter to my life at all during freshman year are still haunting me and i feel like they are overshadowing my hard work. I am really not a lazy student, it just took me a lot of valuable time to get used to the system.

Here are my stats:
