<p>most that I am aware of use a “composite” score which is the highest grade obtained on each section whether they were taken at the same time or not.</p>
<p>YOu can usually find this on a school’s website. If not, email the admission’s office. Some will superscore for admission but not for scholarship, etc. Some are now even superscoring the ACT - but it is not as common as the SAT.</p>
<p>Some schools superscore, some do not. For example, in California the Cal State system superscores, but the UCs go by the highest single seating. I don’t know if any schools average the scores.</p>
