which colleges allow you to superscore your test results?? (i.e. take your best score in each section from multiple sittings). does it matter if one's superscore is the same as their best from one sitting??

theres no specific list of colleges that superscore your results, i just know that the vast majority of them do. if you want to knwo specifically about a college, i suggest you either post here asking about that college or perhaps email them or something.

superscoring is basically taking the highest score of each subject regardless of when you took it and using that.

Example:

First time you took sats, you got 750 math, 650 cr, 780 writing.

Second time was 640 math, 790 cr, 770 writing.

third time was 800 math, 730 cr, 730 writing.

the colleges that DO superscore will see it like this:

math: 800, 750, 640
cr: 790, 730, 650
writing: 780, 770, 730

they'll just take 800 math, 790 cr, 780 writing and give you a score 2370.

(it might not be exactly like that, because they'll see what scores u got when, but they generally disregard it).

Generally, a superscore is weighted equally with a "normal" score. Colleges do, however, look for people who only put in effort on one section per test. For example:

800 - 650 - 650
650 - 800 -650
650 - 650 - 800

will not be looked kindly upon.
