I'm just wondering, because I saw a video on theu.com where a student talks about how most of the guys she dates are from out of school. Is there a lot of dating between NYU students and Columbia and Barnard students then?

no such generalization can be made, but naturally there are many, barnard columbia couples, columbia-nyu also happens.

I don't know if this means anything but I'd think that Columbia-Columbia or Columbia-Barnard dating would be more practical simply because NYU is kind of far. I mean, same city and all, but it's like a 30-40 minute subway ride (sometimes) and then (depending on what dorm the significant other lives in) a decently far walk. I went from Columbia to NYU the other day to visit someone at the 3rd Ave North dorm after Science Honors Program and it took me almost an hour and a half to get there. And I, personally, am impatient. :-P But I'm sure it does happen. Much longer distance relationships than that happen. :)

This question is so general that it's useless. Columbia students date other CU/BC students, CU/BC professors, students at other colleges in NYC, other random people in NYC, and people they dated in high school but go to college elsewhere.
