Do community college courses in high count for credit if you go to a non-UC college?

Do community college courses (the ones with the label “transfer UC/CSU”) count for GPA suppose you go to a non-UC college. Suppose you want to go to CSU or an Ivy League college or non-UC/CSU college? Will the GPA be part of your college transcript? There is a possibility I will attempt to go to one of the Ivy college because of my best grades and challenging courses and I plan to be serve leadership of a group and like to socialize and work together, and there’s also another possibility that I will go to one random college related to my major.

Each college/university sets its own policy about which courses transfer, and whether or not the grades earned in those courses become a part of the GPA at that institution. You need to ask each place on your list what their policy is.

Whether or not the 4-year college/university records your CC grades on that transcript really doesn’t matter, because they are part of your academic record for the rest of your life, and you will need to send your CC transcript anyway whenever you apply to study somewhere else as a transfer or for grad school, or if you apply for a job that asks for all of your transcripts.
