I haven't accepted my admission yet and I am so terrified that there won't be any rooms left for me at Jester! :( how fast do they fill up?

Jester East is the second most requested dorm on campus, behind San Jacinto, but it’s pretty big. It’s probably not hard to get a space in Jester West, since the rooms aren’t renovated in west yet (East rooms are finished, and the East lobby is supposed to be completed in May). I believe the housing contracts are awarded on the basis of when you applied for housing, so when you actually accept your admission to the university shouldn’t matter to your placement.

You don’t have to be accepted to apply for housing.

When you apply for housing, which you can do either online or in the housing office on campus, you will get a list of dorm buildings that have openings to choose from.

You can apply for housing as soon as you’re excepted.

You don’t choose preferences until you accept offer of admission.
