Do Essays Have To Be Standard 5 Paragraphs?

<p>I am in the process of beginning the admissions process and was wondering, do people normally only write in the typical 5 paragraph formet? Is more creativity appreciated, and is literary license allowed?</p>

<p>i doubt they want formal essays.....i haven't written a 5 paragraph essay since gr 8 when I had to do it to show that I can write......really retarded i know....</p>
