I guess, if they're hot. That's what I've discovered. Yeah...smart/interested in nerdy stuff but fun and carefree.

One of my really good guy friends is totally in love with this quirky sweet girl named yoyo. And it's not like he's a nerd either; actually, he's pretty goodlooking. They would make the cutest couple if he just got the guts to ask her out.

I notice a lot of bitter attitudes towards guys on this site. I think its a bit of an exaggeration.

Haha Ryan, that is because they are CC girls; therefore, they are not as shallow as the typical teenage American girl and they have trouble finding guys that complement their desired levels of intelligence.

Perhaps the bitter attitudes come from those of us who are stuck in cut-rate public schools, like I am...we don't get the joy of being exposed to all the smart and hot guys that seem to be on CC. :D

I mean, there are a few very intelligent guys at my school who are also good looking (and happen to be taken, and ironically, by "dumb" girls), but the vast majority of the good looking guys are literally either stupid, too lazy to behave wi/ the intelligence they possess, or they are too arrogant to be worth anyone's time but that of the girls who are just in it for the superficiality or because they just don't see that there are better guys out there.

And, there are definitely guys out there who see a pretty face and strike up a relationship only to find that the girl is by no means a flake or an idiot, and once that happens, the guy heads for the hills bc all he wanted was a hook-up or something. :( That experience goes a loooong way toward convincing us girls that guys are jerks who don't like the intelligent girls, and I know that, now.

Maybe the flip side of intelligent girls having high standards is the fact that even if they don't, people automatically assume that they do, and those poor girls get stuck up on pedestals as the "untouchables", and they might just be doomed until they head off to college where they are just another face in the crowd, for once...

but maybe that's all just me being mad that I got stuck in a rural public high school where the average SAT is around 1000 on the old scale (though some people didn't manage to break 1000 on the new scale, either)...

Well, frankly, I feel lucky to be in a graduating class of 600+

Interesting conversation.

Imma girl.

I think that when they are dating guys go for the pretty and not so smart girl but when they are ready to get marry they will choose someone who is smart (those girls are usually average in looks and probably won't make the guys get worry all the time)

I hate guys that are insecure that can't stand a girl who is smarter than them or make more money than them

I love guys that are so insecure because they make me feel so dominant.

=] Yay Sweetdream! ^^ That is so true that guys are insecure. ^_^ But who isn't insecure anyhow? =]

I've personally solved this problem by dating only nerdy guys. Hence they're interested in nerdy girls, and we get along fine. :p

x] Maybe I will meet nerdy guys when I go to college. :D Wish me luck. ;D

Maybe it's just CC girls, but nobody at our school wants geeky/nerdy guys...

xd You never know, Genesis.

I don't know...for me, a person's intellect IS part of their personality. If we both just read this great book in English class, I'd rather that she talk about it with me than say, "Eww, books, those are uncool." I'm exagerating, of course, but I mean...it's part of the personality in my opinion.

it is, but not academic intellagance. Of course i don't want a girl that says "reading's for geeks" but i'd like a girl who is kind enough to listen to what i have to say. the english class refrence doesn't really apply to be because discussion of an english class book isn't one of my main interests.

i mean, yeah, it is a part, but i'm not someone who compares how "smart" one girl is to another, or says "intellegance is sexy" intellegance can make a person interesting, but it doesn't really have to. i like a girl i enjoy being around, and don't like to consider why.

for real, right? i was talking to my friend at work about how he has a senior class of 40, and i was like... that's just a little bigger than my biology class...

it's creepy, having that few people.

I notice a lot of bitter attitudes towards guys on this site. I think its a bit of an exaggeration.

i do have a lot of frustration towards the male half of the species. It comes from an entire high school career of being overlooked because you're not cute and ditzy. I don't know, maybe that's just my experience though.

Anyway, the door swings both ways. I don't care much for girls who are willing to do almost anything for a boy (which is a surprising number of them) either. rarr. high school.

this is coming from a girl...but nerdy guys rock! lol.

I am currently talking to a CC user over AIM and writing what she has just told me:

& later...

Sexy Temptress (1:22:47 AM): i guess knowing how to calculate the distance a truck travels in a 4 x 4 square or finding out what word best fills a sentence........
