do high school grades count in med. school application

do high school grades count in med. school application

...........no

Of the 25 schools I applied to, only one school even asked, and I'm sure it wasn't very important.

Maybe I was reading something incorrectly but doesn't AMCAS require secondary school transcripts?

AMCAS did not ask for my high school transcripts.

From Hopkins Pre-Professional Site:

The Association of American Medical Colleges has developed an electronic application. Go to www.aamc.org for more information. Using the forms provided on the AMCAS website, arrange for the Registrar to send a copy of your transcript to AMCAS. You must do this for all academic work undertaken
at any secondary school in the United States well in advance of submitting the application itself. Target April/May for transcripts other than your Hopkins transcript. Target early June for your Hopkins transcript. Be sure to review your transcript before you request that the registrar mail it to AMCAS.

Isn't secondary school defined as high school?

i'm going to assume bluedevilmike is right here since he has already applied to med school.

Also, y does it matter? if you got into hopkins or some other good school then i'm sure u have a pretty good HS transcript so even if they do look at it, which i highly doubt any med school would waste time looking at, it shouldnt be a prob.

Yeah, I understand that that might be what the website says - but I honestly didn't send a HS transcript to anybody.

Wash U asked for my GPA, but that's it.
