med school look at high school grades?

<p>Do med schools look at high school grades in their consideration for acceptance? I remember someone asked this before but I want to make sure. How many ask for high school grades because if it's only like 3 or something small like that then it seems really insignificant.</p>

<p>First, I cannot imagine that any school cares very much.</p>

<p>Second, of the 25 schools I applied to, only one even asked for my HS grades. Specifically, they asked for my HS GPA and class rank. They did not ask for a transcript, a courseload, a specific breakdown, or anything like that. They did not want SAT scores, AP scores, nothing. There were two tiny lines - one for HS GPA, and one for HS class rank.</p>
