Do Honors Program students normally get scholarship?

My friend was accepted during the early round into BC.
She also got into the Honors Program, and she told me that she received 90% scholarship along with it.
I didn’t know Honors students received scholarships.
To clarify, she did not get into the Presidential Scholar Program, which, I believe, is full scholarship. Do Honors students normally get scholarship?

Dear RarissimaAvis : The only merit based scholarships are from the Presidential Scholars program - the bake-off for which has not yet been held for the incoming class. In short, unless there was something related to athletic money being offered, your friend is mistaken.

It would have to be because she has high financial need.

@scottj, @Ortsac// hmm… she’s not an athlete and she’s wealthy enough to afford BC without any aid to begin with…I might have to clarify again with her. Maybe she mistook BC for a different college, perhaps?

Boston University perhaps.

There are 15 presidential scholars per class that receive full scholarships. Otherwise her scholarship would have to be need-based or for athletics. Boston College is not known for its financial aid. I’m in the honors program at BC and there is no special aid designated to the students in the program.
