i attended auburn university out of stupidity, and had 10 credits to show for the first symester (A-bio, A-psych, F-english (although i already received credit for the class, although they don't want to take this off my record), so 4+3+3=10 credits. the 2nd symester i ended up leaving early due to medical leave and so after my freshman year of college i have only 10 credits and a deep (i mean deep) desire never again to return to the rural south. so now i an filling out my applications, and a lot of the apps say that in order to be considered for transfer you must have 12 credits, which i lack. so if i were to fill out the common app now would i apply as a freshman or a transfer student?

ok nvm after hours of searching i just went about it manually

wow this is a hard one. um, try to send an email explaining your case to the admissions officer. i think you're under a special case. should apply as a frshman, but with a special exception

I am quite sure that all colleges would want you to apply as a freshman.

You can't apply as a freshman; you've already attended college. However, you can apply as transfer, and your status will be "transferring freshman."

You received 3 credits for the F in english?

Some schools say apply as transfer if you ever enrolled, others only if you have completed one year, others don't care at all. There is no general rule
