Hello CC friends!!I have a question for you guys, i have some college credits and was just wondering if i should apply as a transfer student(Even if i don't pretend to study the same major)or as freshman?Do i have the choice(i friend of mine told me that a can only apply as a transfer)? How difficult would it be if i apply as a transfer?

Full-time here is 12 credits/semester. So 24 credits in a year. If you have less than 24 college credits (not including AP credits), you would apply freshman. If you have more, you'd have to apply as a transfer.

Admissions, whether transfer or freshmen, is really unique to each school, so I can't give you an answer as to whether it will be hard or not.

Preferably apply as a freshman though. That way, you'll have more time to complete requirements. Transferring credits does not always work well.

OK."That way, you'll have more time to complete requirements. Transferring credits does not always work well." well i'm not worried with my credits since i will be applying toa totaly different major..."Full-time here is 12 credits/semester. So 24 credits in a year. If you have less than 24 college credits (not including AP credits), you would apply freshman. If you have more, you'd have to apply as a transfer" Yeap i believe i have more then 24 credits DAMM..How difficult it is if you apply as a transfer student to the following colleges:
Bosto University
UT Austin
FSU
U of Arizona
UCLA
USC
MCgill
Ithaca Colege
U of Wisconsin
Syracuse
Northwestern

I can't say anything about the other schools, but I know UWisc admits quite a number of transfers. I don't know what the admission rate is, however.
