do i even have a chance?

so basically, my gpa isnt too great, and i dont really know about my extracurriculars either. im a junior and after looking at the other posts on this site, i feel soo dumb. but, if i dont get into any med programs, i can always go study in india. thats only a last resort though, because studying in the u.s. is always better. so, could anyone tell me if i could get into any program with these stats

gpa: which grades are counted in this? 10th grade: 3.88, 11th grade: 4.0 (weighted, only 1st semester)

sat: 2040 (october), (january) dont know yet..

aps: 11th grade: spanish, english lang, us history, biology, 12th grade: going to take calculus ab or hopefully bc, english lit, government, chemistry (maybe)

school is ranked 2nd in california

dont have a rank

extracurricular:
tennis (8 yrs)
jv softball (2 years)
key club, nhs, hosa, environmental science club (possible leadership here)
yla (youth leadership america) outside of school
start something (teach troubled kids in community about how to be better people)
volunteer at downey hospital (140+ hours, going to be more when i apply)
probably going to volunteer at ucla hospital
possible summer internship at ucla with med professor in lab
worked at vasantha bhavan (indian restaurant) for a bit

awards:
math award of excellence 2006, maybe more in future

so could anyone tell me my chances, thanks

im basically open to any program i can get into

which programs should i consider?

They are all very different.

And for the love of god.

Consider schools, not programs. There are "easy" programs but OMGOSH the schools, if you are picky - like myself - you might hate them.

Keep your options open. That statement is completely irrelevant of your chances...just...wow so focused on anything and India?!

sat is kinda low right now, but you will improve. just dont forget to choose wisely on which school you want- you will be spending 6- 8 years at the same school

You know the MCAT still exists... why go to India to ... Come back when you have done all these "probably" and "possibly" things!

head hits desk

All depends on the SAT...

Just some advice. Work on your SATs, take a bunch of practice tests. You need at least a 2200 to really stand a chance, but aim for 2300+. Do that internship, it will really help, especially when it comes to the interviews. Right now, it doesn't look too good, only because of the SAT. But, that can be improved. Other than that, everything else looks great.

oh i took i got my january sat scores, and i got a 2180. im probably gonna take it again in october though. i hope my new score really helped my chances.

and another question, which programs should i apply to?

All the AMC colleges (Union, Siena, RPI), USC, and PSU (if your SAT score is high enough). Those are the ones I know about.

definitely apply to the drexel programs.
