Do I have a chance at all?

90W GPA (3.5W)
86 UW GPA(3.2UW)
I have 4 C’s and 1 D on my transcript. That’s mainly from freshman year because I was in the wrong crowd. (But I have an upward trend.)
ACT: 21C (25E,21S,19M,19R,9 out of 12 on the essay)
SAT: 1070C (570V,500M,16 out of 24 on the essay)
If I get my ACT score up to a 30 will that improve my chances? I didn’t really study for it bc I was mainly studying for the SAT, but if I do I think it’ll go up. I’m just really bad at standardized exams.
EC’s: VP of Key Club (hopefully president next year.)
Chairperson of Fundraising for Students Against Destructive Decisions (hopefully president next year.)
Peer Drug Educator
1 Year JV Volleyball
1 Year Varisty Gymnastics
I had to stop sports bc I had a concussion (effected my grades aswell.)
I used to tutor students, and some had ADHD. (Not paid, volunteered.)
I now tutor and babysit 5 days a week but that’s not really an ec bc it’s paid.
Accomplishments: Top 100 for a video competition (received about 1,065 votes)
Made a video about a summer program I worked in and it was shown to the board of education of my school.
I have 10 Honors and 4 AP’s.
I know my personal statement will be good because I think I’m a decent writer.
I also had health issues and it’s just that I’ve been through so much. I don’t have the grades for this school and I know that, but I’ve been through a lot and managed to have A’s and B’s. My major is going to be either psychology or neuroscience.

Hi, I just answered your other UD question, lol. College is a crapshoot, and I’m no professional, I must say however there are a few things that can increase your chances for getting into UD. I can tell you UD is definitely big on interested so if you consistently show them that you are interested it will help your case, in addition don’t be afraid to send admissions emails, explain your case etc. and INTERVIEW!!! I received an email form UD about a day or two after I applied stating they were holding off campus interviews near me, I signed up immediately and interviewed with Stella Santos, had a great interview, and literally got my acceptance within 10 days of submitting my application along with a scholarship. I also definitely had the scores to get in to UD, but I really feel as though the interview helped me. Make sure your interview with the right people however, I had a friend who hesitated in signing up for off campus interviews and ended up doing it on campus…with a junior at UDel. According to her GPA/test scores she should be an average student at UD but its been 5 months and she is still waiting on a decision. Best of luck!

I got a 1590/2400 SAT, and had an 88.7 gpa in high school (1 c freshman year) and I got into the business school. Honestly like person above me stated, showing how interested you are really matters for UD. I applied in October and got wait listed in APRIL, but I persisted to send them emails about why i loved UD and what skills I can bring to the community and I think i would not of gotten in otherwise. If you are very serious about coming here then I highly recommend sending them letters like this; UD definitely looks at things more holistically. good luck!

3.4 W GPA
3.3 UW GPA

Alot of EC

Alot of Sports

What do yo think? Either University Studies or Business
Thx

@adventureud wow that gives me hope! I visited this past week and loved the campus so I’m hoping they see that when I apply. I was planning to email them about things to let them know I’m interested but I’m not sure what to say in the email? I was going to ask about if they have any summer programs but if I can’t end up going I don’t want it to look bad. Any ideas? I genuinely don’t know how else to show interest…

If you don’t want to do the summer program don’t say it. Just look up things you would be interested in joining and why you think you will bring a positive impact to the community and why you will succeed at the school. If you will go here if you are accepted, make sure to tell them that you will quickly accept their admission. Remember they not only want to accept people who they think will make a good impact on their school but people who they know will accept admission.
