I am worried my extracurriculars are a little weak because I have been working a lot and my SAT scores are pretty low for the school. Do I have a chance?

I’d give you a 45 to 55% chance of admission. Your extracurriculars and GPA are weak, but being a URM and applying ED will help somewhat.

Working part time jobs is an extracurricular so don’t diminish it’s value. Your SAT score is low but your GPA and rank are strong and you have a number of honors/ AP courses. I won’t chance you because college admissions is unpredictable and no one can give you any indication of how it will turn out. You just have to wait it out for a few months and you’ll find out. Best of luck to you!

Your GPA is not too shabby for BU average GPA which is around 3.65-3.85. Your SAT however is on the weaker side because most applicants will have a 1300+ score. On your EC, it is good that you have done a summer job (so that is a plus!). You’ve taken a good amount of APs for BU so that is also good! Applying to EDII to a school is always good because it shows them that you really want to go to their school, but the applicant pool will be more competitive. Personally, I feel that you have a 50-55% chance, but it could be higher or lower depending on admissions. Good luck!
