I’m a highschool junior, so I know it is hard to get an answer so early on but I REALLY want to become a pediatrician. I’m a hard worker and fast learner, but I will be paying for my own college (maybe including medical school), is it worth it? If my GPA is only a 3.75 and not a 4.0 do I have a shot at keeping my grades up for medical school and actually getting in? I’m also not a very great test taker, so it makes me nervous for the MCAT. I just don’t want to spend my time trying to get into medical school and never getting in. I would like to hear if anyone has gone to medical school with a GPA around (or lower) than mine and was also not a very great test taker. It would just boost my confidence of trying to get into medical school and reach my goal of becoming a pediatrician.
just do great this year and 12th grade and you can get into the school of your choice. have extracurricular activities on your application.
while college is a lot harder than HS, you can get whatever major you want if you put effort into it. maybe itll be 20-40 hours a week. remember no one is born a doctor or an engineer or scientist or anyhting they all work for it
