Do I have a chance at transferring to an Ivy League school?

<p>I'm currently a freshman at a public university, majoring in journalism. I'm considering switching my major to international relations and transferring to a different school next fall (the only reason I'm at my current school is for the journalism program, I don't particularly like it here, and out-of-state tuition is ridiculous). Although I'd really be fine if I get accepted to anywhere that's not here, I'm wondering if I have a shot at getting into an Ivy League school. I didn't apply to any when I was in high school, so I don't know if I would have been accepted as a freshman, and from what I hear transfer admissions are a lot harder.</p>

<p>My high school GPA was 3.91, all honors/AP classes, and I was ranked 9th in my class. I got a 33 composite on the ACT. (I also took the SAT, but I don't remember my score.) I was a National Merit Scholar finalist, involved in NHS, Key Club, choir, show choir, drama, speech, and a few other clubs and volunteer organizations. I'm currently in the honors program at my university, and it's still the middle of the first semester so I don't have any grades yet, but I'm confident I could pull off all A's this semester.</p>

<p>just make sure you are taking impressive courses, and of course write knock out essays. If you do all of the above there is no reason for you not to at least be seriously considered.</p>

<p>You have great stats but I would suggest you to call up or email the counselor at the Ivy League school to make sure that you are taking the right courses and heading into the correction direction. It’s a lot easier to know what you are doing right or wrong when you hear it from them.</p>
