Do I have a chance for Vanderbilt?

Hi, I’m a high school senior from Nashville applying to ED2. I have a 4.0 unweighted GPA and around a 4.3 weighted GPA. I’m ranked number 1 in my class and have a 31 on the ACT. I know that my ACT score is pretty low but I don’t think I can raise it any higher. Also, I’m first generation and a minority ( I don’t know if that would help me). As for extracurriculars I don’t have that many (my school didn’t really offer any clubs that I could be part of) but I still have some meaningful ones. I just want to know if I have a decent chance or if it’s a reach school for me. Other schools I’m applying to are Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and the University of Notre Dame.

Please disregard this thread. I accidently posted 2 same threads. The original thread is the previous one I posted.

Answering either thread is fine

I think you have a chance being local with #1 ranking in class. If Vanderbilt generally takes someone from your school each year then you have an even better chance. Good luck and make sure you apply to some match schools. ND and RPI are pretty tough admits too! Though you do have a chance at all, better safe(ty) then sorry!
