do i have a chance (JR)

I am a Junior at a good public school. I know I can definately improve my stats but do I have a chance at UMD if I can get the GPA and SAT's up a little?

-3.25 GPA
-1240/1600 SAT
- 2 AP Courses (have yet to take the AP Tests)
- 10 Honors Courses

Baseball (3 years on Varsity)

Football and basketball (FR year)

Writing for Literary Magazine and Newspaper at School

Debate Team

Volunteering experience at: nursing home, inner-city day care center, assistant teacher for Religious Ed classes, as well as helping out with many local parish functions

Would like to major in Political Science

Let me know if I have a good shot, or if I have a lot do to do even be close.

Here’s the freshman profile so you can see the stats of admitted students.
You have time to bring up your GPA a little with second semester grades and to re-take the SAT if you think you can improve there. Best of luck.

are you is or oos

out of state

really low chance then imo

If you think UMD would be a good school for you I’d encourage you to give it a shot. You give yourself the best chance by applying by the priority deadline.
