Thank you!

What’s your unweighted GPA? Weighted doesn’t mean much without a full picture of your course load. Your ACT is about the average of Yale, not really on the high end. You seem to have good course rigor (at least from what you’ve posted) but your ECs are your weak point. It seems extremely bland and your scores aren’t high enough to counterbalance it. Have you taken SAT IIs? Those are important too. What ethnicity are you?

If you write really shining essays and get amazing letters you might get in but I wouldn’t really rely on it if I were you. Good luck!

You have a solid profile, but nothing that makes you stand out. And, Yale will need that. While you have an okay chance of getting in, you will definitely need stronger and more pointed ECs to really have a good chance. I should be able to tell what your interests are from your ECs. Try to even just make your own club in order to show what you’re truly passionate about. Good luck!

Well academically you are within average but so are thousands of other applicants so you need to stand out. Your ECs dont really do that, but if you wrote an amazing, and i mean AMAZING, essay then you have a chance.

Your EC activities don’t impress me at all. No cohesion. Grades and Test scores are good. You’ll probably get in because of your mom working there.

You’re decent, academically. Unlike the previous poster, I believe your ECs do have cohesion, but they don’t show your area of interest. You seem very passionate about helping people, but what is your job when you grow up? You want to join/start clubs that reflect that. Your mom working there is a big plus, but you should ignore that for now and strive for a profile that would get in without your mom. Good luck!

thank you everyone for answering
As for my mom working at Yale, she isn’t a professor or anything too big so I don’t think it will have much effect on my chances

I think you have a chance, but don’t stick to one school. If you can, please list your race. @jr2015br, aren’t you being a bit harsh? S/he has more than an average chance and I am certain it is at least worth applying to.
