Do I have a chance to transfer ?

I’m a freshman at Holy Family University. I was rejected by temple university my senior year of high school because my gpa was a 2.9 and my sat scores all together was 1330. This year, however, my gpa is a 3.54. I’m also doing much more activities like the track team, peace club, guitar lessons, and Taekwon-Do. I also work now and did a lot of community service. I also have a total of 34 credits by the end of my spring semester. Temple states that if you have more than 30 credits they will not look at your high school transcripts. Do you think my chances are high?

Maybe, but you won’t have an answer until you’ve completed 30 units and that transcript is sent. Do you want to wait until mid-summer to know?

I think I might just send my transcripts now and let them view my high school transcripts also. Sats are not looked at Temple for transfer students. I rather do that then wait until the spring time and hearing from them by the summer. I graduated from High School with a 3.0 GPA in the end. I pulled it up from that 2.9 I had when I applied. Hopefully, that is also put into consideration. Temple wanted a minimum of a 3.0 for first-time applicants and now they want a 3.1 for transfer. I have a 3.5 GPA.

I think Temple’s transfer acceptance rate is like 80%+ so you probably have a decent shot at it.
