Do i have a chance?

<p>GPA: 4.24 (wghted), (not sure unwghted)
SAT: 2050 (Math-700, CR-670, Writing-740, Essay-12) (but those are not scores received at the same time… i’m taking them one more time as well)
SATII: Literature-670 (i keep getting 670! i hope to raise it), History- 740
AP: English Language-5, European History-5, American History-5 (do they matter?)</p>

<p>Senior Year Schedule:
-AP Government/Economics
-AP Calc. AB or BC
-AP English Literature
-AP Chemistry
-Adv. Art
-French 4 H
-(hopefully) Theatre Arts class at local community college</p>

*Church youth group member (does that count?)

*School clubs (Cultural Awareness- will be co-pres, French, Amnesty Int’l, Bible)
*Preschool volunteer (2 yrs, not anymore)
*Horseback riding (2 yrs, not anymore)</p>

I will need as much financial aid as possible…
I hope to major in History and English (even though my reading scores aren’t very high…)</p>

<p>i know my stats aren’t high…but do i have a chance? please let me know… and if not, are there any schools you would suggest for me? i just hope for a good school that provides a lot of resources, where i can be comfortable and work hard</p>

<p>Far be it from any of us to say you have no chance. it all depends on what they are looking for next year to round out their class. Certainly students with your stats are there now, and many with stats higher are there, too. I just don't see anything to make you really stand out from the pack, is there a true passion there in your EC's? There are no interviews so your essays are crucial. Good luck!</p>

<p>thank you so much for answering. as for my ec's, i really like working with children, but i don't know if it really shows on my application. i'll work hard on my essay- thanks once again!</p>
