I applied to SLS 07' on Dec. 28, and still haven't received an email saying that i've been rejected. Should I be hopeful and expect a packet in the mail soon???? I don't wanna get my hopes up, but i've read that one guy got an email after 2 days saying that he was rejected. It's been about 8 days now, and i still haven't received an email like that....

lol you're overreacting my friend. chill. it'll come when it'll come.

yeah i know i know. :) I'm just really anxious about it. So i'm ASSUMING since they haven't emailed me yet that they've already mailed me the packet...i don't know

You know, now that I think about it, I don't remember getting an e-mail at all telling me I was in or not, so maybe they don't have to email. I don't know- just a thought.

Well this other guy told me that two days after he applied he received an email explaining that he wasn't accepted. And i've also heard that if you are accepted you get a fairly large packet in the mail....

So let me get this straight FuzzySlippers - you know that people who are rejected get an email and people who are accepted get a packet, but no email - and you're sad that you haven't gotten an email? Straighten yourself out, man! You'll be fine, the US Post office is pretty slow, and USMA's mail center is whack. I applied in late January (I think) and got a packet in March (again, I think - I'm not too good with dates). Just calm down and have a little fun while you're waiting.

patience is definitely a virtue that i don't have, but i can try waiting :)

dude sls is incredibly easy to get into. i honestly dont kno if west point was tellin the truth that they only accepted like 30% of all the applicants. and btw, by the time i received the acceptance packet, i completely forgot that i applied to sls: it took like 3 months. then again i applied early march or so.

they told me they would get in contact with me within 14 days. I don't know how well they will stick to that, but whatever

Hey- yeah I remember last year when I applied (early January I think) they said that. I remember reading about all those people who got theirs within a few days and stuff and being all worried. I ended up not even hearing from them until late February or even March if I remember right. So hang in their, and try not to stress too too much!!

thanks. i'm just so anxious to get to west point (if i even get in)
