Hi, I am a junior in a Wisconsin high school, and I would love to go to Harvard. Do I have what it takes? And if not, what can I do?

Are you white?

Yes, I am white

Errrrr, why is this on the Harvard 2011 forum? This goes in What Are My Chances, or at least the main Harvard board.

Sorry, I'm new

You have absolutely no chance. Your SAT is a joke...

Harsh, DJ.

But I would retake the SATs to get them up. They are NOT a joke as is, but not really in the competitive realm without other qualifying factors.

i think you have chance if recommedations and essay are good. your GPA and SAT are excellent... so yeah i think you might get in

Read through the decisions thread. Then you will realize that you do have a chance, but it is very low. That isn't harsh, and that isn't bad.

ur such an ass hole

sport, how old are you? 10? And to whom is your slur directed?

Probably at that djglover guy.

You should definitely apply. Don't let anyone discourage you; tons of people get in with scores like that.

I feel that he has a great chance... im a newbie here, but he looks like he has pretty good credentials.. ( tell me if im wrong please!)

good chance...i think so, atleast! :)

The only problem I can see is that you look exactly like 4000 other equally-qualified applicants. Do you have anything that would really make you stand out? The XC is great, but literally every person who applies to Harvard does XC or track.
