<p>I’ve just recently become really interested in Bowdoin when looking around for a couple more schools to apply to, it was on my college list from last year but I never really looked into it until now. I probably won’t get a chance to visit until after application decisions are made, and I was wondering what kind of chance I might have?</p>

SAT: 670 CR, 630 M, 620 W
GPA and Class Rank: School doesn’t calculate them because we’re so small
Grades/Classes: My grades are pretty good in general, mostly solid B’s-A’s all through highschool, except a C in math freshmen year. Currently taking Honors English, Honors Precal, Physics, AP Euro, Equine Science, Spanish III, art</p>
<p>Extracurriculars: I’m a Resident Assistant on the middle school hallway - this was kind of a big deal, you had to apply and interview and get chosen for it and all, I ride horses - I compete my own horse regularly and I compete on my school’s Interscholastic team - I’ve done very well in interscholastic shows, last year I got a ribbon at Nationals and this year I’ve done well so far in my division and am also the upperclassmen captain. I’m a member of Riding Club, we do fundraisers and stuff to raise money to get extra stuff for our school’s horses.</p>
<p>Recommendations: They should be good - one from junior year english teacher and one from my junior and senior year math teacher, they both like me a lot. I’m also going to get one from the houseparent I’m on duty with/riding coach/basically my advisor. She knows me really, really well and likes me a lot and has already said that she’ll write me a really, really good recommendation.
Essays: My english teacher really liked my common app essay, I think it’s good. I think of myself as a good writer in general and my supplemental essay should be good as well.</p>
<p>So…do you think I might have a chance? I think it’s probably a reach for me, but do you think it’s a definite rejection?</p>
