So do u think its possible for me to get into MIT?

Your math/science is great and so are you ECs, but I think you need to work on your verbal ability. A 630 on the writing isn't terrible, but it isn't outstanding either. Try to write a really good essay and maybe join some clubs, like the school newspaper.

Good Luck!

what race are u? From what I have seen, if you are part of the Black, Hispanic, or Native Indian group, you have an amazing chance.

" I am a first generation Japanese American"
...I believe she would be classified as Asian?

could a first generation ...balance out an Asian?
advantage....and.......disadvantage

what would have more weight?

i doubt it...i'm first generation south-asian american and still get clumped with asians :)

apply and find out :)

srry. didn't catch that Jap-American thing

are pacific islanders usually clumped w/ asians?

depends on which side of the dateline. For instance, people from Hawaii/Tahiti/Samoa aren't generally thought of as "Asian", though some from eastern alaska might?

I've always seen a "Pacific Islander" bubble, though.
